The HMAS Yarra Association serves as a resource and support for those who have served upon the HMAS, their friends, families and any other interested persons.

The Ship HMAS Yarra was so named after the Yarra River in Victoria. As such the Ships crest contains a kookaburra being the Victorian State Emblem with the words “Hunt and Strike” mounted under it, tradition, bearing, good times and bad
